The Only Exception

If you’ve been keeping up with me on the blog and social media, you probably know that God, fashion, yummy gluten free desserts, and family is what makes up the most of who I am. However, there’s a huge part of me that I haven’t formally introduced yet, and he’s finally making an appearance on the blog! Meet my boyfriend/my other half, Andrew! Also well known by many as a pro motocross rider, leader, and man of God.

I could honestly write 10 pages about him, but I’ll keep it nice and simple and just give you a little background on the cool dude with the earrings and sunglasses (: Funny story… The day before I met Andrew my brother came to me after spending a week at FCA Motocross Camp with him and said, “Aubrey, you HAVE to meet this guy!” My initial response: “Um sorry I will NEVER date a motocross boy.” We see how well that turned out! The next day I decided I would have to make an exception!

I’m not gonna lie, Andrew used to intimidate me like crazy haha… I couldn’t believe that this tough, masculine guy would want a shy, girly-girl like me! This intimidation came to a halt when I got to know his heart. Let me just tell y’all, I’ve never met another guy who runs passionately toward the Lord with all that he has as much as Andrew does. And I am so thankful that he grabs my hand and takes me with him! Although we are not perfect and still have a lot to learn, we have started to build our relationship on the foundation of Christ, and that right there is all that we need!

Now I would get in trouble if I ended the blog here, without mentioning more about motocross (; BUT it is well deserved because dang, this boy is talented too! Don’t ask me any technical terms about dirt bikes, although I give myself a pat on the back for trying to learn. All I know is that he goes fast and whips his bike around in the air way too crazy for my liking! But I’ve gotten used to it and I have to admit it’s pretty cool and takes a lot of nerve (and prayers lol). Here’s a pic in case you’re curious:

All in all, I am so proud to call this man mine! Although I’m proud of his outward appearance and talents, I’m even more proud of the loving, gracious, God-fearing man he is on the inside. Sounds cheesy but it’s so true!
